What’s a wine slushie?
It’s a favorite wine cocktail made from blending wine, fruit and some ice. It turns into a favorite summer drink that’s refreshing and sloshy.
It’s not frozen like a thick frozen margarita but more, well, slushie.
Easy Wine Slushie recipe
Once you whip up a wine slushy you’ll see the flavor combinations are endless. They are a great way to stretch favorite white wine especially in the summer months.
This vino slush isn’t really frozen but more a slightly slushy wine cocktail.
The temperature is welcome during warm weather when icy cocktails take the sting out of the day.
After making this once you’ll be ready to make your own slushies with favorite fruits like fresh strawberries, frozen peaches or even a tropical wine slushie recipe!
It’s the hottest cool drink of the summer! It’s a perfect cocktail for happy hour, summer vacation, girl’s night, book clubs and every occasion in between.
It’s a perfect drink for a summer party ready in a couple of minutes. Serve it in a large container for good times any time of year but especially in the warmer weather!
Recipe Ingredients + Notes
Watermelon. You’ll need 7 cups of fresh watermelon. You can cut up a whole watermelon or for time saving buy it already cubed from the grocery store.
The flavor of the watermelon really determines the flavor of this sweet drink so pick ripe fruit.
White wine. One 750-ml bottle of favorite white wine.
Ice. Two cups of ice is all that’s needed.
Best wine to use for white wine slushies
The best wine to use is the wine you love! If you enjoy a sweeter wine try a moscato wine or rose.
For dry wine Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc which are light, fresh and a bit more dry (less sweet).
Pro Tip: Blending the wine slushies
This batch makes 11 cups. If you have a high powered blender with a large canister like a Vitamix you’ll be able to blend the entire recipe in one batch.
If you have a regular size blender, divide the ingredients into two batches and combine in a serving pitcher or sealed Mason jar after blending.
How to Make Wine Slushies recipes – Step-by-Step
Add all the ingredients to the pitcher of a blender (take note of the Tips above). Blend until everything is smooth.
