Easy Grinch Punch is perfect for the holiday season. Inspired by the Grinch stole Christmas tale, this fruity Christmas punch is non-alcoholic and holiday punch recipe the entire family can enjoy.
This fun holiday drink is a great choice for your next holiday party, Christmas dinner or Grinch movie night (along with our Grinch Cakes or Easy Grinch Treats). It’s a fun change from egg nog or Wassail and since it is non-alcoholic, everyone can enjoy it.
The vibrant green color is inspired by our favorite holiday villain! It brings on the Christmas spirit in with fruity lime flavor with some fizz and creamy lime sherbet. This easy Grinch punch recipe is a festive drink and doesn’t use any green food coloring.
The simple ingredients combine to naturally give the Grinch drink its color. Topped with Grinch’s hearts for a huge hit.
This party punch is great with our Cake Mix Christmas Cookies or Christmas Tree Rice Krispies Treats too (sticking with the Grinch green theme).

Recipe Ingredients Notes
Specific amounts included in the printable recipe card at the end of the post.
Frozen limeade concentrate. You’ll use 6 ounces which is half of a (12 ounce) container. Any brand will work. Allow it to melt before starting the recipe. You’ll find this in the frozen section with other juice concentrates usually near the frozen breakfast foods.
Lemon lime soda. One liter of any brand lemon lime soda will be used. Chill the soda before making the green punch recipe.
Lime sherbet. Two cups or one pint of lime sherbert are used. This helps give the bright green color and lime flavor along with sweetness and a creamy consistency. The combination of the sherbet and soda make a frothy green beverage (think ice cream float).
Maraschino cherries or candy hearts (optional garnish)
How to make it
Combine the limeade concentrate (photo 1) and lemon-lime soda (photo 2) in a large pitcher or large punch bowl and stir to combine.
Stir in the lime sherbet (photo 3-4). Spoon into a individual glasses and garnish with a maraschino cherry or candy heart.
Variations
- This recipe doesn’t have to be seasonal– instead of candy hearts, garnish with a wheel of fresh lime to enjoy all year round!
- Want to make this punch for adults only? Add ½ cup of vodka or white rum! You could also swap out the lemon-lime soda for a bottle of chilled prosecco.
- Want to reduce the sugar/calories or make the punch a bit less sweet? Swap the lemon-lime soda for lime flavored sparkling water.
Frequently Asked Questions
We don’t recommend that. To keep the fizziness of the soda and the sherbet frozen, it should be assembled just before serving.

This is such a delicious drink recipe. I made it with the kids before we sat down to our annual Grinch movie night. They were so proud of themselves and it made the evening more festive (I must admit I spiked mine with a little vodka!).
