We are in Spring Break season. Spring Breaks span almost a month between different school districts and colleges, all ready for some time off before the last push toward the end of the school year. For many heading for the sun (especially after this winter), whether it be some beach time or pool frolicking in a sunny destination, is what it’s all about.
In the planning and excitement there can also be a big ‘wah wah’ when peeling off the winter layers to examine ourselves in a bathing suit for the first time of the year. Pasty white skin and perhaps not QUITE as toned physiques can layer a bit of body-angst into the vacation preparation. Of course Spring Break is truly the gateway to summer which is hot on its heels a mere month or so away in some regions.
I too am heading for sun but fortunately not in a destination that will require stripping down to a bare minimum to enjoy the main focus of the trip. While the feverish last minute working out and ‘cutting back on carbs’ begins, I have a little helper for your efforts: Bikini Body Smoothie. I think we all too often focus on everything we should NOT eat, rather than wrangling the helpful foods we should be eating to help us meet our healthy goals.
This smoothie is full of antioxidants and naturally diuretic foods that help getting-in-shape efforts by assisting in losing water weight. I’m treading carefully here, not wanting to assert this as a cure-all but every little bit helps, right? I believe in getting in shape and getting healthy naturally, not starving oneself but loading up on calorie-appropriate natural options.
The ingredients in this smoothie include green tea, melons, pineapple, celery, ginger, kale, lemon juice and more. Along with antioxidants, are great vitamins and fiber. In addition to helping to lose water weight naturally, the ingredients assist in flushing toxins from the system. Each ingredient is thoughtfully selected as a member of the ‘get ready for the bikini season’ team! It’s refreshing and light; and your new best friend! Sprinkle in some chia seeds if you want to add a bit of protein too!
