I don't really understand, why mixology has to use always inferior products!
This called puckers and schnapps are really as bad as alcohol can get – featuring largely artificial aromas and colors.
You going through so much effort, to make the ice cream – why not extending a bit more the effort:
The butterscotch schnapps you can replace with caramel syrup [there are a lot of recipes of caramel syrup in the web, which can be found]. The apple pucker you can substitute with fresh extracted green apple juice, with a bit of rich syrup and a few grams of citric acid. Finally you could use vodka – you could even substitute the caramel syrup with a vodka which is caramel infused… however I would rather make it with gin. Gin adds a lot of facets to the crisp apple taste… or if you rather would like to have an emphasis on the caramel, you could even use a rum like Mount Gay Eclipse, which would support all the toffee aromas.

Thank you for taking the time and thought to leave your comment, especially in sharing options for differing ingredients. I actually do not think mixology 'always' uses inferior products but appreciate your stance that you'd opt for different ingredients to reach a similar end result. I can say this cocktail as described does taste identical to a Caramel Apple. It would be fun to try some of your ideas and compare!

It's been thirty five now since I lived in Missouri and I know this. I have never, ever, EVER come close to finding the dirt we just had naturally in yards I remember. Dark, black, wonderful, everything would grow it it dirt. Not clay like North Carolina or Colorado and as much as I don't miss the humidity…there are days I would love to just have that dirt again for a garden. And then sit and enjoy with a caramel apple martini!
I'm working on one for Happy Hour Friday…would be fun to compare!
