Bloody Maria's are spicy, tequila tomato-juice cocktails that command attention. Unlike super sweet sippers, they are a savory cocktail making them a great pairing with food. In this Halloween context they offer a respite from the sweet treats which abound.

  • 6 ounces Blanco Tequila
  • 1 5.5- ounce can Tomato Juice
  • ½ ounce fresh Lime Juice
  • 8 dashes Worchesteshire Sauce
  • 8 dashes Tabasco Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Horseradish Cream
  • Pinch Smoked Salt


  1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker or quart Mason Jar. Seal, shake vigorously. If using shot syringes, place the open end in the Bloody Maria liquid and withdraw the plunger to suck the cocktail into the syringe. May be served chilled or room temperature. If wishing them to be chilled, combine the tomato juice and tequila in a jar and chill in the refrigerator. Mix the cocktails as described.
