4th of July CUPCAKES

Follow cake mix 

Combine all ingredients specified on white cake mix of choice.

Make batter

Mix until cake batter is formed.

Scoop batter

Scoop batter into baking liners in muffin pan.

Fill & Bake

Fill 2/3's full or as directed on cake mix. Bake as directed.

Cool completely

Allow cupcakes to cool in pan then on wire rack. Cool completely. While cooling make the buttercream frosting.

Adding color

In a pastry bag with star tip, make a line of red and blue gel dye, separated by open space.

Pipe

Add the buttercream frosting to piping bag. Pipe the red, white and blue frosting on cupcakes!

Decorate (optional)

Add sprinkles if desired.
