Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Aperol
  • 3 ounces Prosecco
  • 1-2 ounces Club Soda
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Fill a wine glass with ice.
  • Pour in the Aperol and prosecco.
  • Add the club soda (any amount from a splash up to 2 ounces).
  • Garnish with an orange slice.

Notes

PRO  TIP for adding the club soda:
  • Add a splash to start and taste the cocktail. If you like it, stop there.
  • For more dilution of the flavor add up to 2 ounces of club soda.
  • The more soda the more refreshing and light the cocktail will be.
How to adjust the flavor
Make it less bitter. Some find the bitter flavors in Aperol displeasing when there is too much of the liqueur in the cocktail recipe. It sort of has a flavor of bitter oranges.
This can be lightened by adding more prosecco (which will make it sweeter) and/or more club soda. We prefer the club soda solution.
Make it lighter on the alcohol. Change the ratio of Aperol and/or prosecco. Use less Aperol and increase the club soda to make a perfect cocktail to your liking.
