Homemade Everything Bagel Chips

Homemade bagel chips are a cinch to make and are bursting with great flavor when using Everything style bagels. They are a perfect companion to any spread or dip! If using bagels other than Udi's, be sure to slice the bagels in no thicker than 1/4-inch slices for proper results.

Ingredients

  • Everything Bagels (regular or gluten-free)
  • Olive Oil or Olive Oil spray
  • Serrated knife

Instructions

  • Put the bagels in the refrigerator for an hour before making bagel chips.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice each bagel into four (4) 1/8-1/4 inch slices. Tip: using the pre-sliced center cut on the bagel, cut halfway between the center cut and outside of the bagel to cut uniformly thick slices. Then cut each round slice into fourths to make the bagel chips.
  • Lightly brush both sides of the bagel chips (or spray them with olive oil spray) and place them on a baking pan in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes until they begin to turn slightly golden (they will become harder as they cool). They do not need to be turned while baking.
  • Remove and allow to cool fully on a cooling rack.
