Spiralizer Spicy Baked Curly Fries Recipe

Making curly fries at home is a cinch with a spiralizer. It takes mere minutes to prepare the potatoes for baking. Baking the fries versus deep frying them allows a healthier option too!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Russet Potatoes (approximately 2 medium-large potatoes), scrubbed (do not peel)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Hot Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Line two large baking sheets with sides with parchment paper or foil (with dull side up). Spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Process the potatoes with a spiralizer ¼-inch or 5mm blade into a large mixing bowl. Note: the long spirals may be left intact or cut into smaller lengths as desired
  • Combine the spices into a small bowl and mix together.
  • Drizzle the potatoes with the olive oil and spices; toss with your hands to coat.
  • Divide potatoes between the two prepared pans and spread them out to be a single layer only.
  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, flip the potatoes over and bake an additional 10 minutes (check after 5 minutes after flipping them so they do not over brown). NOTE: If baking both pans at once, switch the pans in the oven (location) after flipping the potatoes.
  • Serve hot.
