Lucky Leprechaun Shots are fruity shots that taste like what a leprechaun would drink on a tropical vacation. This easy cocktail recipe is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or the rest of the year!
Inspired by the whimsical side of St. Patrick’s Day, one might imagine these chartreuse green fruity shots would be what a mischievous leprechaun would drink on vacation.
The good news is, unlike many other cocktail shots, these taste great and like the tropics!
For the rest of us non-leprechauns, they are a delicious fruity shot any time of the year.
Having done my diligence in sharing true Irish recipes before, I wanted to share something with a bit of whimsy.
This easy cocktail recipe is delicious and just the right color for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
Fruity Shots Perfect for Leprechauns
Lucky Leprechaun Shots are a take on the cocktail of the same name.
Ingredients vary in the cocktail, but being well past my shot consumption days, I wanted it to actually taste good, not like I was trying to sanitize my mouth and throat.
This tastes like what a leprechaun would drink on a tropical island.
These are fruity shots; not sickly sweet with that tinge of I’m-going-to-regret-this-in-the-morning flavor.
They don’t burn going down. They just taste good!
And the radioactive green color can’t be beat!
Lucky Leprechaun Shots Ingredients
Only three perfectly paired ingredients are needed to make Lucky Leprechaun shots:
- Midori Melon liqueur
- Malibu coconut rum
- Pineapple juice
How to Make Lucky Leprechaun Shots
There is nothing fancy needed to make these festive fruity shots.
- Combine the ingredients
- Pour into a shot glass and serve!
Mocktail Option
Though these shots contain liquor so for adults only, teetotalers and tots can enjoy something similar with Lemon-Lime Gatorade or Mountain Dew!
They are both the same bright green color.
TIP for Making Multiple Lucky Leprechaun Shots
If serving these to a larger group, using a cocktail shaker will help you prepare this easy cocktail recipe in higher volume.
Keep the ingredient amounts proportional and whip up a batch instead of making the fruity shots one by one!
