Chef Mechin added an unexpected tableside course of Scampi, every step including a flambé prepared in full view. As with all the food it was perfection.

After a second night in my luxuriously comfortable room with lofty duvet recalling alpine trips to Switzerland, full slate shower and gigantic soaking tub I ventured forth on Sunday morning for yoga. I love yoga however have not done it for some time due to an injury. Eva Spector-Avjean, the head of the St. Julien Spa’s aestitician program (skincare) is also the yoga instructor. Her easy, gentle presence and careful watch over all the participants made for a great wake up allowing me to protect my injury while getting a great workout with a self reminder I really need to stretch more. The hotel offers a complimentary yoga class to guests every Sunday at 8:00 a.m.

What is the dish next to the Masianco wine bottle? It look fantastic. Of course, it all does. You are truly blessed to be given these opportunities and we are also to share them vicariously through your commitment to photographing and recording them for us. Thank you!
That my friend was the glorious eggplant! The Chef baked it in a lasagne style (no pasta); it was fantastic. Our lunch was five plates too. A carrot salad with lemon, tarragon, curry and olive oil sprinkled with Himalayan salt. He's cutting seared Ahi tuna (in a pic above) he made with jalapeno and served with a fresh corn salad. We had roasted Hatch chile torta, a chicken scallopini with fig sauce. I'm torturing myself now! Thank you for riding along. I feel so fortunate to make these discoveries and to share them with YOU!
Wow, LOVE all those flame shots, just beautiful! What great experiences you had in this post.
Thanks Sommer. It was a really nicely designed experience. I loved the time with the chef and it was fun to be a tourist in my own town!
Toni, what an amazing weekend experience you had at that fabulous hotel…all the amazing foods, and just love…love the flambe photos you managed to capture. The farmers market shots, I can’t even choose one specific photo because each and every photo was totally amazing!
Thanks for sharing:) xo
